Invictus Family’s Home-Based Learning "Virtual Campus" offers a solution for Singapore Expatriates who’ve had pay-cuts or lose their jobs due to Covid19 crisis.

Economists forecast more than 200,000 people will be out of work in Singapore by the end of the year, with expats expected to bear the brunt of the lay-offs. And as International School chaos continues with 50% of the curriculum being home-based for the inevitable future, the question on most expat’s lips is why are they still paying full-priced international school fees?

There have been a lot of conversations amongst parental groups in Singapore about the changing face of education. If circuit breaker phases roll into extended months, it could indeed completely revamp the International School education model.

A recent education survey in Singapore said that up to 30% of expats are thinking of moving schools with affordable schooling becoming more important.

Enter Invictus Family – Invictus International School’s latest “Virtual Campus” offering full-time home-based learning to students for just $4,000 per year.

Invictus International School already made news headlines, shaking up the international school scene when it launched its no-frills Dempsey Hill family campus in 2017, with yearly fees starting at just $16,000 per year. Due to an overwhelmingly positive response from parents and an overflow of submissions, it has since launched two more Singapore campuses in Sentosa and Farrer Park.

But it is Invictus Family’s latest “Virtual Campus” innovation that is sure to create a buzz amongst parents during these economically challenging times. Invictus Family’s experienced teachers will conduct the interactive virtual classes following a strict and organised timetable, just like a physical school.

John Fearon, Director of Invictus International School, shares his sentiments.

"The market is hurting and Invictus needs to be resilient and look to offer great education at affordable pricing, hence one of the reasons for supporting Invictus Family."
